The Popular Art museum of Cusco City

The Popular Art museum of Cusco belongs to the American Insitiute of Art, ancient & traditional cultural organization of the city, that it´s founds the Jubilar Days of Cusco and rescue of the disappearance of Santuranticuy Fair.

The museum hosted pieces of porpular art, old photographies of Cusco, paints and comtemporary cusquenian scuttures. It has some of the best pieces of Cusco folk art since the 1940s, mostly acquired systematically Santurantikuy Christmas fair. In the collection are pieces of outstanding teachers: Hilario Mendivil and family, Edilberto Merida, Nemesio Villasante, Santiago Rojas, Luis Acosta, Jesus Latorre, Antonio Olave, among others.
