TheNatural History Museumis part of theSchool of BiologicalSciencesUNSAACexhibitsgeological andpaleontological samplesofCuscoand itssuburbs,also exhibitsrepresentativespecimensof biodiversityin the region.These include thetusk of amammoththat livedacross the continentabout 8000years ago.


Located inthePlaza deArmasofCusco,in the localuniversity auditorium, this museum exhibitsan interesting materialwork product ofteachersand students whohave differentcollections thatarerepresentative samplesof flora andfauna. The museumalso hasgeologicalandpaleontologicalcollectionssectionwithfossil samples.

 


Section forthefaunaandcomprisesbottlestaxidermizadasconservationsampleswithdifferent embryosof animals includingman.

Thesection devotedto the floraconsists ofsamplecharacteristics of theAndean region betweenthem standsa collectionof microscopicfungi andothertraditionalmedicinal plants.

 


The Museum ofNaturalHistoryUNSAAC, also has a livingdioramasalludingto the three naturalregions ofPeru: coast, highlands andjungle.
