Machu Picchu: A fabulous National Geographic video with history and magic

Machu Picchu (old mountain in Quechua) is the most important destination in Peru and South America, the new wonder of the world. It is an ancient Inca city located in the middle of a lush jungle, mighty rivers and impenetrable mountains near our capital, as if taken from a fictional movie. Formerly it was a great city dedicated to the cult of the sun and also as royal quarters of the Incas.

 

Access is only by train and this trip is quite an experience for our visiting friends. The place is not only a great tourist attraction, it is also a great archaeological site, a true treasure for scientists and a magical place for tourists.
