The Inca Bridge continues to function as a foundation for a modern bridge

The pillar and ancient Inca bridge in Ollantaytambo still remain standing and supports now a modern bridge. This bridge was made of stone and mortar, which was one of the many techniques used by Peruvian ancestry.

The bridge flies over the Vilcanota River and serves as access for the communities that live on the other bank where Ollantaytambo is located.
