Holy week starts next monday March 30th in Cusco

About 130 thousand parishioners will be present this March 30, Easter Monday, the procession of the Lord of the Earthquakes, year after year attracts the Incas to the main square of Cusco, to renew their faith and receive his blessing; this as a prelude to the celebration of Easter.

Monsignor Daniel Alarcón Urrutia, archbishop of Cusco, Cusco sued the public participate in this religious festival with faith and devotion.

The head of the Police Region, Luis Beltrán Pantoja Calvo, presented the Safety Plan and Contingency this procession, which was approved by the Regional governorship, the Public Ministry, the Provincial Municipality of Cusco, INDECI, the Ombudsman, the Company Fire Peru, the Regional Directorate of Health, the Department of Culture Desconcentrada Cusco, Regional Directorate of Transport, EMUFEC, Fellowship of the Lord of the Earthquakes, representatives of the Consortium of Catholic Schools, among others.

To provide the appropriate attention to any emergency aid stations will be installed in strategic areas and signaling work will be in the Plaza de Armas to evacuate people who need it.
