Cusco Southern Valley Tour Full Day

We invite you to discover the South Valley, a region where time seems to have stood still and the most beautiful contrasts of Cusco are preserved. Our tour begins at the Tipón Archaeological Park, an architectural gem dedicated to the worship of water. Agricultural terraces and ceremonial fountains offer an absolutely peaceful landscape.

Our journey continues to Pikillaqta, the most important Wari cultural settlement in the region. Its reddish stone walls tell stories from centuries before the rise of the Inca Empire. Finally, we arrive in the picturesque town of Andahuaylillas to visit its iconic Church of San Pedro Apóstol. Known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas, this church is a masterpiece of religious syncretism. It houses dazzling paintings from the Cusco School adorned with gold leaf.

Andahuaylillas: Andahuaylillas is located 40 kilometers from the city of Cusco, standing out for its colonial architecture.
Its main square is surrounded by old houses and has pisonay trees.
The most notable attraction of this town is the church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas which was built in the seventeenth century. The interior is lavishly decorated with wall paintings, carved wooden baroque altars and features paintings from the Cusco School that developed at the beginning of the Hispanic presence.

Tipon: Tipon The set is located 27 km. southeast of Cusco. The top of the set is crossed by the Inca Trail along with an irrigation canal.
It has probably been used as a laboratory of agricultural products by the various microclimates that are found in this complex.
Tipon is included as one of the 16 most important archaeological sites for tourists who visit this area.

Pikillaqta: Piquillacta The archaeological complex is an archaeological site made up of the remains of a city of ancient Peru, from pre-Inca times. It is located in the district of Lucre, Quispicanchi province, department of Cusco, about 30 km southeast of the city of Cusco and at 3,250 meters above sea level in the basin of Lucre river and a mesothermal environment during the Vilcanota River. It covers an area of approximately 50 hectares. It was one of the most important administrative-cultists of the Wari (or Huari) culture centers, between centuries IX VI of our era, and represents the urban planned Wari par excellence.
