Description:
In the distance a towering 70 year old palm tree, traditional of all Peruvian haciendas, announces El Albergue's presence amongst the terraced corn fields of Ollantaytambo.
Located at the confluence of the Patacancha and Vilcanota rivers as well as on the railway station to Machu Picchu. El Albergue is one of the coziest and most romantic bed and breakfasts in all of Peru. With only six rooms, special detail is given to each and every one, resulting in an elegantly rustic style.
Beautifully simple gardens full of hummingbirds are engulfed by the aroma of fuchsia, passionflower, floripondium, peaches and avocado trees which all adorn the early 20th century hotel. Step outside and catch the train to the spectacular ruins of Machu Picchu, only one hour away.
